Handmade from sterling silver and 18k gold, the Muse necklace shows the goddess crowned in laurel leaves with her hand over her heart. Her body is carved from a recycled piano key, and her features delicately scrimshawed by hand. The necklace is reversible - showing the stone on the back - and beaded with natural gemstones. The Muse is the source of all inspiration and creativity: she reminds us that art is anything we do with passion and skill, and we all have some type of art inside us. She measures 1.8" x 1.1".

Each goddess necklace is signed on the bottom by the artist, with an easy-to-use sterling silver and gemstone box clasp. The standard beading length is 19" but can be strung to any length.
The Muse, also known as inspiration, can appear around all types of art. What is that makes your heart sing? There are so many forms of art: cooking, dancing, listening, throwing parties, loving, and countless other activities. We each have a type of art inside us and a Muse that awakens us. When your heart beats faster with excitement, she is there. When a new idea comes to you, she is there. We often don't recognize her, especially in subjects not considered traditional art, but we all have the capacity to be moved by her.
