The powerful emblems of the seahorse, unicorn, and pegasus combine in this 18k gold design, complete with wings, horn, and serpentine body. A glowing symbol of purity and innocence, they spread their wings on either side of a glowing Australian opal. Celtic runes encircle the golden band, spelling out mair and lóchrann in Irish Gaelic, which translates as "life" and "light": two significant properties of the unicorn. Proverbial for its untamable nature, the unicorn is often depicted in British hearldly with a broken chain, showing that it has broken free from its captivity and cannot be retamed. Renown also for its healing abilities, the horn of the unicorn is said to cure any illness, even returning its recipients from the borders of death.
